History Moddern Marketing
MODDERN HISTORY
moddern marketing started as a micronetwork of like-minded boutique agencies in the middle of 2010. Partners Nader Ashway and Mark Kolier each owned their own companies and came together to explore the concept of interagency collaboration with other partners. In the summer of 2018, they welcomed Canadian Graham Davidson to the team, who was later named Senior Director of Digital Marketing.
The main driver has always been to deliver simple and intelligent evidence-based solutions to marketers with all kinds of demand-stimulation problems. moddern’s DNA includes roots in direct marketing, and those “prove-it-or-lose-it” instincts are still intact.
moddern moved its team to Soho headquarters in NYC, and quickly gained momentum with full-service engagements and media projects for national clients like Eight O’Clock Coffee, Tetley Tea and Jackson Hewitt Tax Services.
In 2013, moddern began focusing on more complex healthcare engagements, working with an antioxidant supplement called Reboot, and then its first medical device called coflex. Since then, the agency has added several additional healthcare-related clients in various verticals including health supplements, at-risk infant nutrition, ambulatory surgical care centers, and post-acute wound care, picking up several industry awards along the way.
In 2020, moddern moved its headquarters to One Rockefeller Plaza and expanded operations into Canada, creating a location in St. Catharines, Ontario. moddern continues to add to its client roster with new accounts in financial services, luxury goods, and technology produc

WE’RE (PRACTICALLY) A MARKETING AGENCY
Contrary to popular opinion, marketing complex products to hard-to-reach audiences is never easy. It takes diligence, and insight, and a whole lot of testing. Since moddern has its roots in direct marketing, testing is kind of our thing. We put forth a postulate, introduce it into the market and see how it does. Then we evaluate, retool if necessary, and press on. (Don’t let this get out, but it’s an awful lot like, um, science.)
Our goal is to get to your point B, wherever that may be. So we don’t diddle with the scenic route, as appealing as it might seem. We subscribe to the principle that we’ll all be happier if we’re meeting your goals, so we try to fly nonstop to every marketing objective.
